چکیده

Abstract Nutmeg is important for national and community revenue mainly in Maluku Province where nutmeg seedlings are grown low-fertility soil without fertilizer. A greenhouse experiment was performed to evaluate the response of following application two different biofertilizer concortia. The experimental design completely randomized block design, which tested combination treatments rates methods concortium. “bacillus biofertilizer” 0.15 0.3%, while “mixed 0.5 1.0%. Both were inoculated by foliar spray application. results verified that at 24 weeks after inoculation, biofertilizers increased seedling growth traits included plant height, shoot dry weight, leaf surface area, root number, weight over control. Soil 1% consists nitrogen-fixing bacteria phosphate-solubilizing microbes resulted better performance. However, highest height demonstrated treated with 0.3% composed phosphate solubilizing Bacillus . Biofertilizer inoculation also enhanced area but did not change root-to-shoot ratio seedlings. showed improves

Inoculation and Successful Colonization of Whitebark Pine Seedlings With Native Mycorrhizal Fungi Under Greenhouse Conditions

Efforts to maintain and restore whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis) forests in western North America have increased dramatically over the last two decades and now include the planting of nursery-grown rust resistant seedlings in openings and burned areas. Over 200,000 nursery seedlings have been planted in the western U.S. but survival rates are low and in many areas approach zero. One possibilit...

Combined Inoculation with Multiple Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Improves Growth, Nutrient Uptake and Photosynthesis in Cucumber Seedlings

Mycorrhizal inoculation stimulates growth, photosynthesis and nutrient uptake in a wide range of host plants. However, the ultimate effects of arbuscular mycorrhyzal (AM) symbiosis vary with the plants and fungal species involved in the association. Therefore, identification of the appropriate combinations of AM fungi (AMF) that interact synergistically to improve their benefits is of high sign...

Effects of Fertilization and Vesicular-Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Inoculation on Growth of Hardwood Seedlings

Eight hardwood species were grown in fumigated soil without vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizae (VAM) or in soil infested with a mixture of Glomus mosseae and Glomus etunicatus. Three fertilizer treatments of 140, 560, and 1,120 kg/ha of 10-10-10 fertilizer were established in combination with the two mycorrhizal treatments. Ten equal applications of NH4NO3, totaling 1,680 kg/ha, were added to all...

Colonization with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Promotes the Growth of Morus alba L. Seedlings under Greenhouse Conditions

Morus alba L. is an important tree species planted widely in China because of its economic value. In this report, we investigated the influence of two arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) species, Glomus mosseae and Glomus intraradices, alone and together, on the growth of M. alba L. seedlings under greenhouse conditions. The growth parameters and physiological performance of M. alba L. seedling...

Inoculation and Growth with Root Parasitic Weeds

A number of parasitic plants have become weeds, posing severe constraints to major crops including grain legumes. Breeding for resistance is acknowledged as the major component of an integrated control strategy. However, resistance against most parasitic weeds is difficult to access, scarce, of complex nature and of low heritability, making breeding for resistance a difficult task. Only moderat...
